WHAT WE DO

The Gambia is currently challenged by dwindling fishery resources caused by overfishing, illegal, unreported and unregulated fishing by rogue fishing vessels and destruction of our natural habitats. This situation seriously threatens the livelihoods of thousands of Gambians. Fish is increasingly rare in the market and unaffordable when.seen.

In the context of what many regard as a hopeless situation, Lamin Fish Farm believes that we can turn things around by promoting self-sufficiency through responsible environmentally friendly local fish farming practices.

Located within easy reach, only 75 meters off the Serrekunda-Brikama highway, Lamin Fish Farm operates a modern hatchery in a pleasant eco-friendly environment with beautiful water gardens, strawberry farm, fish ponds and aquarium store.

We run a free-training centre for local prospective and practising   fish farmers, offering internship opportunities for aquaculture students and consultancy services to organizations and sponsors of aquaculture projects in the country,

We are open to the general public: families, students and tourists for visits, excursions and various events.
